Solve the following equation to find the value of x:
3x + 9 = 6x

3x + 9 = 6x

3x (-3x) + 9 = 6x (-3x)

9 = 6x - 3x

9 = 3x

9/3 = 3x/3

x = 3

9=3x (subtract 3x from both sides)
