If [tex]x\neq 3[/tex], then

[tex] \frac{1}{3(x+3)} - \frac{2}{x+3} = \frac{1\cdot 1-2\cdot 3}{3(x+3)} = \frac{-5}{3(x+3)} =- \frac{5}{3(x+3)} [/tex].
