The reasons why astronomers have difficulty looking at distant stars is because they don't understand how red shift affects stars.

Mainly because of their distance.

Although we are technologicaly advanced, viewing distant stars detaildly is difficult, so all we can for now is get a glimpse of the and know they exist.
