By definition, we have

[tex](f+g)(x) = f(x)+g(x)[/tex]

So, if we plug the definitions of f and g, we have

[tex](f+g)(x) = f(x)+g(x) = x^2-36+x^3+2x^2-10=x^3+3x^2-46[/tex]
