What is 16/9 as a mixed number

16/9 is 1 7/9 as a mixed number. A quick way to do this is to 16 divided by 9, (numerator divided by the denominator) which is 1 r7. The 1 would represent one whole, and since in the original number 9 is the denominator, you would but the amount of remainder as the numerator, which gives you the answer 1 7/9.
