there is a formula u can use to solve all of these problems.
percent formula : is/of = %/100
50 is x% of 300
is = 50
of = 300
% = x
now sub
50/300 = x/100
cross multiply
(300)(x) = (50)(100)
300x = 5000
x = 5000/300
x = 16.67%
use the same formula for the other questions.
35% of 150 is x
is = x
of = 150
% = 35
x/150 = 35/100
cross multiply
(100)(x) = (35)(150)
100x = 5250
x = 5250/100
x = 52.5 <==
x is 200% of 40
is = x
of = 40
% = 200
x/40 = 200/100
cross multiply
(100)(x) = (40)(200)
100x = 8000
x = 8000/100
x = 80
