The equation of a line is −2x 5y=−20−2x 5y=−20. what is the x-intercept of the line?

The x-intercept occurs when the y-value is zero.

---> -2x + 5(0) = -20
--->  -2x = -20
--->   x = 10

Always write intercepts as pair coordinates (x,y)
x-intercept = (10,0)
