[tex] 1000^{5} [/tex] is the same as 1000 x 1000 x 1000 x 1000 x 1000.
For this you can just count the number of 0's present. There are 15 zeroes present, so this is the number of zeroes you add on.
[tex] 1000^{5} [/tex] = 1 000 000 000 000 000
Also, inputting this into your calculator will also give you the answer.
