4(6 + 7) = 4 * 6 + x * 7

4(6) + 4(7) = 4 * 6 + x * 7

24 + 28 = 4 * 6 + x * 7

24 + 28 = 24 + x * 7        (subtract each side by 24)
-24          -24

28 = x * 7                (divide each side by 7)

28/7 = x

4 = x

The value of x is 4
