Suleiman was known as Kunan the Lawgiver among the people of his empire. This was because he created and ruled over a fair set of laws that applied to his denizens. Unlike previous rulers, who tended to be more autocratic with their laws, Suleiman's ideas of justice were much fairer by comparison.
